At Savoir, every project begins with listening, and that includes taking care of what you share with us. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.

1. Who we are

The website maison-savoir.com is operated by SIA Maison Du Savoir, registration number 40203016449, registered at Elizabetes 29b-2, Riga, LV-1010, Latvia ("Savoir", "we", "us").

We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For any question about your data, write to us at hello@maison-savoir.com.

2. What data we collect

When you contact us through our website, by email or via Instagram, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you share it), and anything you include in your message, such as details about your space, floor plans, photographs or images.

When we work together on a project, we also collect the address of the property, plans, measurements and photographs of the space, your preferences and project requirements, and billing details such as company name, address and VAT number.

When you collaborate with us as a maker, craftsperson or partner, we collect your contact details, business details, and information about your work and the proposed collaboration.

When you visit our website, we may collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device, and the pages you visit, through cookies and similar technologies (see section 8).

We only use your data for the purposes it was collected for.

4. Who we share your data with

We share your data only when it is needed to reply to you or deliver your project:

  • Contractors, craftspeople and makers working on your project. They receive only the details they need, such as the property address, plans and measurements.

  • Service providers who help us run the studio, including our website host ([e.g. Squarespace]), email provider ([e.g. Google Workspace]), messaging tools ([e.g. Meta / Instagram, ManyChat]), and our accountant.

  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

Every service provider processes your data on our behalf and under a data processing agreement. We do not sell your personal data.

5. Transfers outside the EU

Some of our service providers are based outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the EEA, it is protected by an adequacy decision of the European Commission (such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep your data

  • Enquiries that do not become a project: up to [12] months after our last contact.

  • Client project records: for the duration of the project and for [X] years afterwards, to support you with any follow-up.

  • Invoices and accounting documents: for the period required by accounting law.

  • Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.

After these periods, your data is securely deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you

  • correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete

  • erase your data, where there is no reason for us to keep it

  • restrict or object to how we process your data

  • receive your data in a portable format

  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In Latvia, this is the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija, www.dvi.gov.lv). You may also contact the authority in the EU country where you live or work.

Our website uses cookies that are necessary for it to function. With your consent, we also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site. You can accept or decline these through the cookie banner, and change your choice at any time via [cookie settings link].

We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including secure storage, restricted access, and trusted service providers.

We may update this policy as our studio grows. The latest version is always published on this page, with the date it was last updated.
