Opening Credits© is a New York based interior design studio founded in 2019 by Karin Sato. The studio works across residential, commercial and concept projects, creating interiors that balance cinematic atmosphere with refined, functional design. From homes and hospitality spaces to pop-ups and installations for fashion and creative brands, Opening Credits© focuses on shaping experience through light, material and proportion.

Opening Credits collaborates with private clients, brands and creative teams to develop environments that are both expressive and enduring. The studio’s projects range from intimate residential refurbishments to large-scale commercial interiors, as well as concept stores, exhibitions and pop-up spaces. Across all project types, the team focuses on creating a sense of coherence between architecture, interior and object, ensuring every element serves both form and function.

Karin Sato began her career in architectural restoration, developing a deep respect for craftsmanship, structure and the stories embedded in built spaces. This foundation continues to inform her work in interior design, where precision and technical knowledge meet an understanding of how people inhabit and move through space. Drawing on her Swedish and Japanese heritage, Karin’s approach blends clarity and restraint with warmth and texture, creating environments that feel intentional yet lived-in.
